    Zurich engineering firm ABB signed a $61-million frame agreement with Petroleo Brasileiro SA to supply process automation systems and related services to eight oil refineries in Brazil over 5 years. The agreement includes $29 million for engineering services.

    Saudi Arabia, renewing efforts for the construction of a long delayed facility, will issue tenders in September for a new oil refinery in the southern province of Jizan, according to local media.

    A 20-60-20 JV comprised of Petrobras, Itaruma Participaces, and Mitsui has been established with the aim of exporting bioethanol from Brazil to markets in Japan, Europe, and North America.
  • 07/03/2008 -- Copersucar to supply Brazil ethanol to Japan
    Brazilian ethanol producer Copersucar has signed an agreement to supply 200 million l./year of ethanol exports to Japan Biofuels Supply.
