Midland Oil & Gas appoints chief executive officer

HOUSTON, Nov. 7 -- Midland Oil & Gas Ltd. has appointed Mehmet Arif Yukler as chief executive officer.

Yukler has 37 years of oil-industry experience and has served as a top advisor on the exploration and development of energy resources to the governments of Japan, China, and Turkey.

Yukler has worked on behalf of various companies, including numerous state-owned firms such as Turkish National Petroleum Corp. and Petroleo Brasileiro SA.
