LONDON, Oct. 3 -- Antrim Energy Inc., Calgary, will shoot at least 50 sq km of 3D seismic survey during the first year of its exploration period for the Tres Nidos Sur block in Rio Negro Province in central Argentina under a new exploration license.

The company plans to drill an exploration well on the block during the second year. It will coordinate exploration program with the Medianera license in the Neuquen basin, in which it has a 70% working interest.

Antrim will merge the seismic data for Tres Nidos Sur with 84 sq km of new 3D seismic data in Medianera to identify potential drilling targets in both licenses.

Antrim recently found an oil and gas field in the north part of the Medianera license (OGJ, Sept. 10, 2007, p. 42).

Antrim's working interest in Tres Nidos Sur will also be 70%.
