Kulczyk Group acquires 17% of Loon Energy

Loon Energy Inc., Calgary, said the Kulczyk Group International SARL of Luxembourg has acquired 17% of Loon's common shares at 60¢/share in a private transaction.

HOUSTON, May 14 -- Loon Energy Inc., Calgary, said the Kulczyk Group International SARL of Luxembourg has acquired 17% of Loon's common shares at 60¢/share in a private transaction. Loon has exploration and production interests in Brunei, Syria, Colombia, Peru, and Slovenia.

Kulczyk Group is the recently incorporated international holding company of Kulczyk Holding SA, a Polish company with a European scope and international dimension and one of Poland's largest private capital groups.

Kulczyk Holding has invested more than $3 billion in diverse projects, including refining and downstream activities, infrastructure, telecommunications, brewing, insurance, finance, automotive, transportation, and real estate.

Kulczyk Group is controlled by Jan Kulczyk, an international entrepreneur.
