HOUSTON, Apr. 19 -- Sonoran Energy Inc. has appointed Ralph P. Watkins vice-president of operations and development. He succeeds Bill McFie, who has left the company.
Watkins has 23 years of US and international oil and gas development, operations, and engineering management experience.
Before his appointment, he served in various senior positions with BP PLC, Occidental Petroleum Corp., Cairn Energy PLC, and Killam Oil Co. Ltd.
Watkins' management roles included subsurface manager for Cairn Energy's 1,900 sq-mile exploration and development block in northwest India, production manager for Killam Oil, and production engineering manager for the Shell-BP-Deminex Egyptian joint venture.
