Mitchell named Esperanza Energy vice-president

Tidelands Oil & Gas Corp., San Antonio, has appointed Terry Mitchell vice-president of Esperanza Energy LLC—Tidelands' wholly owned subsidiary focused exclusively on developing an LNG facility in southern California.

HOUSTON, Mar. 8 -- Tidelands Oil & Gas Corp., San Antonio, has appointed Terry Mitchell vice-president of Esperanza Energy LLC—Tidelands' wholly owned subsidiary focused exclusively on developing an LNG facility in southern California.

Mitchell will direct Esperanza's next phase of development, including strategic planning, project implementation, coordination, and management.

Prior to his appointment, Mitchell served as a consultant performing analysis on a variety of US-based LNG supply and development projects.

Mitchell is a 25-year oil and gas veteran, with experience in exploration and production, pipeline and storage development, and natural gas marketing. He has worked for Calpine Energy, International Generating Co., National Energy Systems, and Amoco Production Co. He also cofounded and served as president of a coalbed methane consulting and development company.
