Plains names new vice-presidents

Plains All American Pipeline LP has made several vice-president appointments.

HOUSTON, Jan. 15 -- Plains All American Pipeline LP has made several vice-president appointments.

Mark J. Gorman was appointed vice-president. Prior to joining Plains in November 2006, Gorman worked for Genesis Energy for 10 years, serving in various positions, including as director, president, chief executive, chief operating officer, and executive vice-president. Gorman began his career with Marathon Oil Co., spending 13 years in various disciplines before his appointment as president of Howell Crude Oil Co. during 1992-96.

Separately, John R. Keffer was promoted to vice-president, terminals. Prior to this, Keffer served as managing director of refinery supply, director of trading, and manager of sales and trading. Before joining Plains in October 1998, he worked for 2 years at Prebon Energy, an energy brokerage firm. He also worked for Permian Corp.-Scurlock Permian during 1990-95 and Amoco Production Co. for more than 7 years.

Lastly, David E. Wright was appointed vice-president. He joined Plains in November 2006 in connection with its merger with Pacific Energy Partners LP. Before that, Wright served as executive vice-president, corporate development, for Pacific Energy Partners since 2005 and as vice-president, corporate development and marketing, during 2001-05. He also served as vice-president, distribution West, for Tosco Refining Co. from 1997 to 2001, and as vice-president, pipelines for GATX Terminals Corp. during 1995-97. From 1983 to 1995, Wright served in a variety of management positions, including vice-president, western region, for GATX Terminals. He also worked with Conoco Inc. and Continental Pipeline Co., spending 10 years in various positions.
