    Kinder Morgan Louisiana Pipeline LLC's proposed Louisiana gas pipeline project moved closer to final federal approval Apr. 20 when the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission issued its final environmental impact statement.

    Imperial Energy has assured Russian environmental watchdog Rosprirodnadzor that it will resolve all alleged violations of its pipeline construction and booking of its reserves after Rosprirodnadzor deputy head Oleg Mitvol last week threatened to revoke the company's licenses in western Siberia.

    The US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission adopted a natural gas interchangeability policy when it said on Apr. 19 that it would not accept requests from natural gas pipelines to compensate customers and other downstream users for costs incurred from using supplies that include revaporized gas that meets approved gas quality and interchangeability standards.

    China National Offshore Oil Corp. has signed a contract with authorities in Zhuhai, in Guangdong Province, China, to build an LNG liquefaction plant there, the company said Apr. 5.
