    The Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to provide Brazil's state-run Petroleo Brasileiro SA (Petrobras) with $8 billion to help it export ethanol to Japan.

    Refineries at Fos and Lavéra, France, will begin to shut down Mar. 30 if the strike that started Mar. 14 is not lifted, said the oil companies' trade group Union Française des Industries Pétrolières (UFIP).
  • 04/02/2007 -- Shipments resume after French dockworker strike ends
    The strike that crippled the ports of Fos and Lavéra since Mar. 14 ended when 62 tankers and LPG and chemical carriers waiting outside the harbors began unloading operations Mar. 31.
