  • 05/11/2007 -- Noble Energy's Israel gas business builds
    Gas production from Mari-B field in the Mediterranean Sea off southern Israel averaged 103 MMcfd in the first quarter net to the 47% interest of project operator Noble Energy, the company said in early May.
  • 05/11/2007 -- Mediterranean Oil & Gas plans 2D seismic off Malta
    Mediterranean Oil & Gas PLC will shoot 2D seismic spanning 1,000 sq km of Area 4 off Malta using Seabird Exploration's seismic surveying vessel M/V Geo Mariner.
  • 05/10/2007 -- Canada's Ardley coals present learning curve
    Richards Oil & Gas Ltd., Calgary, plans to drill one horizontal and three vertical wells to Ardley coals in the Lambert, Ansell, and Marsh areas of west-central Alberta in July and August.
  • 05/09/2007 -- Afren farms in to Nigeria's Ofa oil field
    Afren PLC plans to drill a well test on Ofa oil field in the northern Niger Delta under an agreement it signed with Independent Energy Ltd. of Nigeria. IEL is field operator.
  • 05/09/2007 -- Premier rig to work over, drill Anoa field wells
    Premier Oil PLC, after plugging and abandoning its Gajah Sumatera-1 exploration well on Natuna Sea Block A in Indonesia, is moving the Seadrill-5 rig to Anoa field to carry out a workover on an existing well. It will then drill a development well to exploit oil discovered last year in Anoa's Central Lobe.
  • 05/08/2007 -- Apache secures FPSO for Van Gough oil field
    Apache Corp., parent of Perth-based Apache Australia, has awarded a contract to Norwegian company Prosafe for use of the tanker MT Kudam. It will be converted into an FPSO for a $606 million (Aus.) development of Van Gough oil field in the Exmouth subbasin off Western Australia.

    Gran Tierra Energy Inc., Calgary, gauged natural oil flows on tests of the Cretaceous Lower and Middle Caballos formations at its Juanambu-1 exploration well on the Guayuyaco Block in the Putumayo basin of southern Colombia.
