    Europa Oil & Gas (Holdings) PLC has spudded two wells in Romania: the Costisa-2 well and the Arbore-1 well.
  • 06/01/2007 -- Roc Oil to spud onshore well in Angola
    Roc Oil Ltd., Sydney, this week will spud the first onshore well in Angola in 30 years.
  • 06/04/2007 -- Iraq Taq Taq wells flow oil at high rates
    The TT-06 appraisal well in Taq Taq field the Kurdistan sector of northeastern Iraq has flowed oil at an aggregate rate of 18,900 b/d of 48° gravity oil at a low gas-oil ratio from three unstimulated Cretaceous-age formations.

    In the first large-scale gas exploration off Japan in 30 years, Inpex Holdings Inc.'s Tokyo unit, Teikoku Oil Co., in late June will begin drilling for natural gas some 20 km off the northern Ibaraki Prefecture of Japan's Kanto region.

    MEO Australia Ltd. of Melbourne has farmed out as much as a 10% stake in its NT/P68 exploration permit in the Timor Sea to Petrofac, a UK engineering and services group.

    First Calgary Petroleums Ltd. has let a front-end engineering and design contract to Genesis Oil & Gas Consultants Ltd. for its Menzel Ledjmet East (MLE) project on Block 405B in Algeria.
  • 06/11/2007 -- BLM authorizes gas wells on Colorado's Roan Plateau
    The US Bureau of Land Management authorized the drilling of as many as 1,570 natural gas wells over 20 years on part of the Roan Plateau in western Colorado.
  • 06/12/2007 -- ONGC budgets $315 million for marginal gas fields
    India's ONGC has approved a $315 million budget to develop by 2010 a cluster of marginal offshore gas fields on the northwest portion of Bombay High, India's largest offshore oil field.

    Dana Gas PJSC, Sharjah, has found gas and condensate in Qawasim sands within its Eygptian El Wastani West-2 well (EWW-2).

    Nonproducing Uruguay's Ministry of Energy & Environment let a contract to Wavefield Inseis, Oslo, for a 7,000 line-km long offset 2D seismic survey on the country's continental shelf.

    Russia's OAO Gazprom and Urals Energy PCL, Nicosia, Cyprus, agreed to cooperate on gas field and pipeline projects in Eastern Siberia Russia's Irkutsk oblast including development of Dulisminskoye oil and gas-condensate field.
