    Talisman (Vietnam 15-2/01) Ltd. has drilled a sidetrack appraisal well into its Hai Su Trang (HST) discovery made earlier this year on Block 15-2/01 in the Cuu Long basin off eastern Vietnam.
  • 05/07/2007 -- New Brunswick field gas to move to M&NE
    Production from McCully gas field in New Brunswick to the Maritimes & Northeast Pipeline is to begin in mid-June 2007, said field operator Corridor Resources Inc., Halifax, NS.

    Nexen Petroleum installed 6,867 ft of an openhole solid expandable tubular system in Aspen oil field on Green Canyon 243 off Louisiana in the Gulf of Mexico, the company said May 2 at OTC.

  • 05/01/2007 -- OTC: MMS estimates gulf production by 2016
    Oil production in the Gulf of Mexico is forecast at up to 2.1 million b/d by 2016 compared with current levels of 1.35-1.4 million b/d, the US Minerals Management Service said May 1 at the Offshore Technology Conference in Houston.

  • 04/27/2007 -- US rig count falls by 22 units
    US drilling fell by 22 units from last week to 1,747 rotary rigs working this week, said Baker Hughes Inc. This total is up by 139 rigs from this time last year when 1,608 rigs were drilling in the US.

    Exxon Neftegas Ltd. (ENL) reported the completion of drilling of the Z-11 well on Sakhalin Island off Eastern Russia to a total measured depth of 37,016 ft—the world's longest measured depth extended-reach drilling (ERD) well in the world, according to parent company ExxonMobil Corp.
