    US drilling activity declined for the third straight week, down 27 units to 1,782 rotary rigs working vs. 1,710 during the same period in 2006, Baker Hughes Inc. reported.

    Air Products said a joint venture company with its Grupo Infra partner will supply 90 MMscfd of nitrogen to Petroleos Mexicanos Exploracion y Produccion (PEP).

    Production has started from the 825.2 billion cu m Yuzhno Russkoye oil and gas condensate field in western Siberia, marking new supplies for Western Europe. It will produce 1.4 billion cu m of gas in fourth-quarter 2007. The field will reach its 25 billion cu m designed capacity in 2009.

    BP PLC reported the start of natural gas production from its Cashima field off Trinidad and Tobago. The Cashima development comprises Cashima field, discovered in 2001, and North East Queens Beach field, discovered in 1975.
