Terax appoints Finn chief executive

HOUSTON, Jan. 30 -- Lawrence J. Finn has been named chief executive of Terax Energy Inc., Dallas. In addition to his current appointment, Finn, who has served as the company's interim chief executive since November 2005, will continue to serve as chief financial officer.

Prior to joining Terax, Finn, a 37-year industry veteran, worked with Petrol Oil & Gas, Las Vegas, where he served as vice-president of finance and chief financial officer.

Previously, Finn served as vice-president of finance and as coordinator of shale projects for CDX Gas LLC, Dallas. He has also served as vice-president of finance and chief financial officer of Wiser Oil Co., CWF Energy Inc., Verado Energy Inc., and May Petroleum.
