Chevron to expand Pascagoula refinery's FCCU

Chevron Global Refining plans to expand the fluid catalytic cracking unit at its 325,000-b/d refinery at Pascagoula, Miss.

HOUSTON, June 22 -- Chevron Global Refining plans to expand the fluid catalytic cracking unit (FCCU) at its 325,000-b/d refinery at Pascagoula, Miss.

The project will increase capacity of the 63,000-b/d FCCU by 25% and raise the refinery's overall gasoline production by 500,000 gal/day.

Construction of the $150 million FCC project is to start in July and be complete in late 2006.
