Bill Barrett Corp. names new chief operating officer

HOUSTON, June 14 -- Bill Barrett Corp., Denver, has appointed Fredrick J. Barrett as chief operating officer. He will continue as president and a director.

J. Frank Keller, previously chief operating officer, will continue to serve in an active management role as executive vice-president. Keller plans to retire in the first quarter of 2006.
