Unit Corp. promotes Cromling to executive vice-president

HOUSTON, May 4 -- Unit Corp., Tulsa, named John Cromling as executive vice-president, drilling, for Unit Drilling Co., a wholly-owned subsidiary.

Cromling, who joined Unit in August 1997 as a vice-president and divisional manager, will be responsible for all of Unit's drilling divisions. In January 2004, he was promoted to the position of senior vice-president, drilling operations.
