HOUSTON, Feb. 11 -- Occidental Petroleum Corp. has elected Casey Olson an executive vice-president. Olson also holds the position of president, Oxy Oil & Gas, Eastern Hemisphere. In addition, he has management responsibility for Oxy's worldwide exploration and international business development efforts.
Since joining Oxy in 1997 as senior vice-president, acquisitions and divestitures, in the company's oil and gas segment. Olson has held a number of increasingly responsible positions, including a recent assignment as president of Occidental Development Co.
Prior to joining Oxy, Olson was a managing director for CIBC Wood Gundy Securities Corp. Prior to that, he served as a vice-president for Hunt Oil Co.
