BP setting up Texas olefins, polymers unit

BP Petrochemicals Inc. plans to set up its North American olefins and polymers operating unit in League City, Tex., as part of a move to make its olefins and derivatives business a separate, wholly owned entity.

HOUSTON, Jan. 7 -- BP Petrochemicals Inc. plans to set up its North American olefins and polymers operating unit in League City, Tex., as part of a move to make its olefins and derivatives business a separate, wholly owned entity.

The new entity is to be based in Chicago.
