    Dominion Cove Point LNG LP has awarded a lump-sum, turnkey contract to Chicago Bridge & Iron (CB&I), The Woodlands, Tex., to carry out a major expansion of its Cove Point, Md., LNG terminal.
  • 01/07/2005 -- LNG terminal off Mexico receives permits
    A ChevronTexaco Corp. subsidiary said Mexican regulatory authorities have granted it a permit to develop an LNG import terminal off Baja California. Other authorities awarded ChevronTexaco a concession to construct and operate the facility.
  • 01/06/2005 -- Pakistani firm buys tanker
    Pakistan National Shipping Corp. (PNSC) has purchased a fourth Aframax-class oil tanker named M.T. Lalazar for $13.5 million. The 113,881 dwt vessel is the largest ever to join Pakistan's fleet, PNSC officials said.

    Williams Cos. Inc. unit Williams Northwest Pipeline, Tulsa, and British Columbia Hydro & Power Authority—cosponsors of the proposed $209 million Strait of Georgia natural gas pipeline crossing—have agreed to discontinue development of the project.
