FERC approves Sabine Pass LNG terminal

The US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has approved construction of the 2.6 bcfd LNG regasification terminal proposed in Cameron Parish, La., by Sabine Pass LNG LP, a unit of Cheniere Energy Inc., Houston. FERC also approved construction of a 26-mile pipeline connecting the LNG terminal to an existing gas pipeline.
