Egyptian Linear Alkyl Benzene awards Fluor petrochemical project management

HOUSTON, June 22 -- Egyptian Linear Alkyl Benzene (E-LAB) has awarded a contract to Fluor Corp. to manage development of a new linear alkyl benzene facility in Alexandria, Egypt. The project is part of a 20-year "petrochemical master plan" for Egypt, a Fluor spokesman said.

Work on the project began in December 2003, and Fluor started work on the project in February of this year. The team expects to complete the project in 30 months.
