Unocal announces management changes for Far East, Canada operations

HOUSTON, Apr. 23 -- Unocal Corp. will implement a series of management changes effective July 1.

Randy Howard will become senior vice-president, global gas. Howard has been the company's vice-president, international energy operations, Myanmar, Thailand, and Viet Nam, since 1999. He also was president of Unocal Thailand Ltd. until earlier this year.

He will be succeeded by Steve Green, currently vice-president, international energy operations.

Don Hansen will succeed Green. He is currently president and CEO of Northrock Resources Ltd., a wholly owned Calgary-based Unocal subsidiary.

Dave Pearce will take over for Hanson as president of Northrock. He is currently senior vice-president, exploration and production, and chief operating officer for that company.
