President George W. Bush signed a bill Friday that extends the fuel-ethanol tax credit and creates a tax credit for biodiesel fuel. The incentives, which will take effect Jan. 1, 2005, and remain in effect for 2 years, are part of H.R. 4520, the American Jobs Creation Act of 2004.

09/29/2004 -- Apache Energy Australia signs gas field supply contract
Joint venture partners Apache Energy Ltd. and Santos Ltd. will supply Energy Developments Ltd. with 55.1 bcf of natural gas over 20 years, starting in 2006, for an LNG project. EDL will convert the gas to LNG at a plant to be built at Karratha, 10 km from the North West Shelf LNG plant on the Burrup Peninsula.
