ARC Energy reports production outage due to line break

Calgary-based ARC Energy Trust reported Wednesday that it has had to shut in about 4,000 boe/d of production from the Ante Creek area in Alberta because of two line breaks on the NPS 36 Western Alberta System Mainline Extension in the Waskahigan region of Alberta.

HOUSTON, Dec. 3 -- Calgary-based ARC Energy Trust reported Wednesday that it has had to shut in about 4,000 boe/d of production from the Ante Creek area in Alberta because of two line breaks on the Western Alberta System 36-in. Mainline Extension in the Waskahigan region of Alberta. TransCanada Pipelines Ltd. reported the line breaks Tuesday (OGJ Online, Dec. 2, 2003).

"No damage occurred to any of ARC's facilities and the effected wells were shut in in an orderly fashion. Further information including the duration of the outage will be provided as it becomes available," ARC said.
