Anadarko names new chief financial officer

HOUSTON, Dec. 9 -- Anadarko Petroleum Corp. has promoted Jim Larson senior vice-president, finance, to chief financial officer.

He succeeds Michael Rose, executive vice-president and chief financial officer, who is retiring (OGJ Online, Dec. 3, 12003).

Larson joined Panhandle Eastern Pipe Line Co. (the former parent of Anadarko) in 1981 as assistant director of taxes. In 1983, he was named assistant controller of Anadarko and was promoted to controller in 1986. In 1995, he was named vice-president and was promoted to senior vice-president in 2002.
