Petroleum Development promotes 4 executives, names chief financial officer

Petroleum Development Corp. Bridgeport, W.Va., promoted four executives, including Darwin L. Stump who was named chief financial officer. Stump had served as controller since he joined the company in 1980.

HOUSTON, Nov. 21 -- Petroleum Development Corp. Bridgeport, W.Va., promoted four executives, including Darwin L. Stump who was named chief financial officer. Stump had served as controller since he joined the company in 1980.

Janet L. Potter was promoted to controller. She has been assistant controller since 1990. Previously, she was senior accountant for Petroleum Development.

Eric R. Stearns was named executive vice-president, exploration and development. He joined the company as a geologist in 1985

Thomas E. Riley was appointed executive vice-president, production, natural gas marketing and business development. He has been with the company since 1996.
