Evergreen Resources hires new vice-president

J. Scott Zimmerman has been hired by Denver-based Evergreen Resources Inc. as the company's new vice-president, operations and engineering.

HOUSTON, Feb. 6 -- J. Scott Zimmerman has been hired by Denver-based Evergreen Resources Inc. as the company's new vice-president, operations and engineering. Previously, Zimmerman worked for JM Huber Corp. as vice-president, energy sector, since 1982.

While working for Huber, he specialized in coalbed methane exploration and development in the Rocky Mountain region. Before joining Huber, Zimmerman served as a production engineer and reservoir engineer for BP PLC predecessor Amoco Production Co.

Independent Evergreen Resources' main operations are a coalbed methane project in the Raton Basin in southern Colorado.
