House panel votes to boost security at energy sites, Senate to act soon

A US House of Representatives committee Wednesday approved legislation to improve security at federal dams, power stations, and electric transmission lines. A Senate panel plans to mark up a similar bill next week, and then turn to an omnibus energy bill the following week.
