HOUSTON, Aug. 6 -- Apache Corp. said Yasser 19 well on its Khalda concession in Egypt's Western Desert tested at 21.9 MMcfd of gas and 1,560 b/d of condensate.

Khalda averages gross production of 200 MMcfd of gas and 40,000 b/d of liquid hydrocarbons.

The well was drilled to assess the potential for bypassed crude in the Bahariya and Kharita zones and to explore for new reserves in the deeper Alam el Bueib (AEB) section.

It found 78 ft of pay in the AEB, 73 ft of bypassed crude in the Bahariya formation, and an additional 14 ft in the Kharita.

The well was perforated between 9,115 ft and 9,128 ft in the AEB 3E formation, a new field pay zone. It was tested on a 52/64-inch choke with 2,085 psi of flowing tubing pressure.

Apache is the concession operator with a 90% contractor interest.

Apache said another well on the concession, the Kenz 28, found 77 ft of AEB pay, two new pay zones for that portion of the field, and indicated 46 ft of pay in the Khatatba formation.

The Tut 50 development well tested at 8.5 MMcfd of gas and 4,800 b/d of liquid hydrocarbons on a 1-in. choke with 972 psi of wellhead pressure.
