Jacobs Engineering to acquire Stone & Webster

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc., Pasadena, Calif., and Stone & Webster Inc., Boston, have signed a letter of intent for Jacobs to acquire Stone & Webster's assets and contracts. The news comes after Stone & Webster revealed it will file petition for reorganization under Chapter 11 of the US Bankruptcy Code.
