Fletcher Challenge begins drilling program in Brunei

Fletcher Challenge Energy Ltd. began drilling Apr. 15 its first exploration well in what is reported to be the biggest offshore exploration drilling program in Brunei for a decade. The well, Bendahara Selatan A-1 (BSA-1), is on Block BCD and will explore several targets at 1,360-3,700 m. The shallower horizons are thought to be potentially oil bearing, while gas and condensate reserves are more likely within the deeper horizons, said Fletcher Challenge.
