Enbridge Inc., operator of the Gray Oak crude oil pipeline, will manage an open season for Gray Oak Pipeline LLC, to solicit shipper interest for an expansion of the 850-mile pipeline system of up to 120,000 b/d.

The 900,000-b/d system carries Permian basin crude production from Reeves County, Tex., to destination points including Corpus Christi, Ingleside, and Sweeny/Freeport in Texas.

In March, Enbridge noted plans to expand its Gray Oak crude oil pipeline and add 2.5 million bbl of storage at the Enbridge Ingleside Energy Center (EIEC) terminal near Corpus Christi. The new storage will bring total EIEC capacity to 20 million bbl upon completion in 2025. As part of the Ingleside expansion Enbridge will buy two marine docks and land adjacent to the site from Flint Hills Resources LLC (OGJ Online, Mar. 6, 2024).

The open season began May 9 and will end June 28.
